Oh No!!!!

While the Redskins played extremely poorly tonight against the ravens, another major news story occurred tonight in Philadelphia as the Eagles signed Michael Vick to a two year contract with $1.6 million in his first season, and $5.6 million in his second year. This is a good for Vick personally because the Eagles are a very stable organization with a great core of players. But the reaction is very mixed and surprised as expected, and their backup quarterback Kevin Kolb was injured during camp.

Vick is eligible to play for the Eagles for the final two preseason games, and eligible for reinstatement in week 6. The Eagles play the Redskins on Monday Night Football in week 7, and it's possible that Vick could be playing in that game in front a national television audience (ESPN), who actually first reported the Vick signing according to Chris Mortensen. That could a major media circus of enormous proportions. It was a good thing the Vick signing happened today because the major story here in D.C. would have been the Redskins embarrassing defeat of the Ravens 23-0 . I will have full recap of the game tomorrow morning, but for now, the skins will have to face a stunning reality of facing Michael Vick twice this season.
