Redskins draft cornerback Kevin Barnes from Maryland in the 3rd Round

Despite needs in the O-Line, and Linebacker, the Redskins draft yet another corner, and a local player as well. The team drafted Kevin Barnes, corner back from the University of Maryland. To me, this pick does not make any sense at all in football terms. The team already has depth in the corner back position, and no depth in the O-Line, and Linebacker. As for Barnes, he is very athletic with long arms, excellent leaping ability, and he can produce big hits. However, he tends to be more physical, and too aggressive at times. He also suffered a season ending shoulder injury last season. The skins do have a 5th, 6th, and 7th round picks left in Day 2 of the Draft, and I will have a full recap of all of these picks tonight.

Update: Here is a quick video clip of Kevin Barnes
