Analysis of 2009 Redskins schedule

First of all, I disagree with Jason La Canfora, stating that weeks 2-4 is a key stretch run for the redskins. Yes, the team has to have a good start before the bye week on November 1st. But the real stretch run starts after the bye week. Remember last year this team went 6-2 heading into November, then fell apart aftewards to 2-6. Well, the skins play 3 of 4 on the road at Atlanta, Dallas, and Philly in November. Then play three of four at home in December with New Orleans, N.Y Giants, and Dallas coming to Fedex Field. In addition, they travel to the west coast twice playing at Oakland and at San Diego. To me, that's a brutal schedule for the second half of the season, and fans like me are pretty much saying that 2009 could be a repeat of 2008. That is possible perhaps. The bottom line is that this team will play better early because they have a favorable schedule such as playing St. Louis, Detroit, and Tampa Bay. But the team lost to the Rams, and barely defeated the Lions, so who knows how this team responds to medicore teams. But thes skins should not have any more excuses on having a bad home record this year. I know this team does not play well in primetime, and hasn't won a monday night football game at home since 1997. But this team should win at least 2 of 3 divisonal games at home, and take 6 of 8 games at home overall. I pretty much expect the fans to be really excited for this team when the bye week rolls around. We could easily be 6-2 or 5-3 by week 8. Then the critical key stretch run really begins on my 22nd Birthday. (November 8th)
